Wear Plates

Wear Plate Grades

Mailam Upking manufactures a wide range of Wear Plates (Steel Plates containing hard face resistant overlays) at its plant using flux cored wire welding process. It must be highlighted that the required flux-cored-wires are manufactured by Mailam Upking itself at its high technology production plant in Pondicherry India. The formulation of various types of flux cored wires used for a comprehensive range of wear plates is carefully designed to give a weld metal(overlay) and microstructure that would provide extra-long service life under a variety of harsh service conditions involving high stress abrasion, erosion, corrosion, and impact as well as elevated temperatures Mailam Upking has the state art of overlaying with flux-cored-wire welding over the years. These are our official wear grade standards yet we make custom grade wear plates to cater the customer needs.

MUP 58

Alloy Basis: C – 4.0 to 5.5% Max, Cr-20 to 25%.
Hardness: 57 – 60 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 250 to 300°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: VRM Nozzles, Armour Rings,
Coke Screens, Hopper Liners,
Grit Cone, ESP Ducts, Chutes,
Reclaimer Bucket etc.

MUP 60

Alloy Basis: Cr – 24 to 30%, C – 4.0 to 5.5%, Si – 0.45 to 1.20%, Mn – 0.4 to 0.65%
Hardness: 59 – 63 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 350°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: Crusher rollers, Table liners, Tyre, Scrappers, Gyratory crusher cone & mantles, Catalyst Pipes
Dredge pump bodies, Extruder screws, Mining & earthmovers

MUP 60S

Alloy Basis: C – 4.0 to 5.5% Max, Cr-25 to 35%
Hardness: 60 – 63 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 350°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: Worn out Ni hard hi chrome crusher rollers, table liners, tyres for the coal mill in thermal power station & crushing mill in cement plants
Coal pulveriser rollers, crusher hammers, Shovel edges etc.

MUP 60N

Alloy Basis: C – 4.0 to 5.5% Max, Cr-18 to 26%, Nb-≤4% max, B<0.3%, Mn-0.5 to 3%, Ni- ≤4
Hardness: 60 – 64 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 450°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: VRM Nozzles, Armour Rings, Body Liners, Grit Cone, ESP Ducts, Chutes

MUP 60T

Alloy Basis: C – 4.0 to 5.3% Max, Cr-20 to 22, Nb-≤6%, V-0.80%, Mn-1.3%, Si-1.00% W-2.00%, Mo-6%
Hardness: 61 – 65 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 600°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: Sieves in Steel plants, Wear plates,
Cement kilns, Sinter Claw breakers in steel plants.

MUP 60TS

Alloy Basis: C – 4.0 to 5.2% Max, Cr-21%, Nb-7% Max, V-1.00%, W-2.00%, Mo-7%
Hardness: 62 – 66 HRC
Hardness Resistance at High Temperature Up to 800°C
Cold Forming Minimum Radius: Minimum Radius: 150 mm (For 6+4) Using Hydraulic Press to bend
Cutting: Plasma Cutting & Water Jet Cutting
Applications: Sinter breakers
